As a lifelong chocoholic, I couldn’t wait to give this a try- and oh my god, it turned out AMAZING! The hardest part was the stirring, but I just kept at it until all the lumps were gone, adding more sugar to taste, poured it in the mould, and voila! What’s great about this chocolate is how rich and full it is. One little square has more chocolate taste than a who Hershey’s bar!
My truffles came out really dark and shiny, like you’d see in a store. My sister in law said they were the most chocolatey chocolate she’s ever eaten! I can’t wait to make another batch, this time I think I’ll make half with crushed almonds and coconut, and have the other half plain.
Good tip- if you have any liquid chocolate left over after you’ve poured it into the truffle cups, pour the rest into a cupcake pan or ice cube tray, then pop it in the freezer or fridge for 10 minutes- more chocolate!

My sons loved making this dark chocolate! They loved seeing the butter melt and adding the powder and sugar (and tasting along the way!)
The chocolate is so velvety and buttery, and fresh! The boys agree for sure!

It tasted like a Chocolate explosion! …the chocolate tasted organic and tasty, definitely different than store-bought chocolate.

I got the dark chocolate kit as a birthday present and was so excited to give it a try. I didn’t know that you could make chocolate at home without lots of expensive equipment. Chocable’s kits seem very simple and just focus on the main ingredients. Make sure and keep your stove on super low temperature and keep stirring through to the end. I might have put in a bit more sugar than I needed to but know for next time.
A chocolate bar mold would have helped. The paper cups supplied work fine but I would have liked to have one big bar.
